Accounts Payable Specialist - Manufacturing | Anaheim Hills, CA
Reports to: Controller
Location: Onsite - Anaheim Hills area
Pay range: $25-28 p/h

Our manufacturing client in the Anaheim Hills area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting operations. This role is responsible for invoice processing, vendor communication, general ledger support, and assisting with month-end close activities in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and audit vendor invoices, including 3-way match and manually coded entries
  • Prepare documentation for weekly check and ACH payment runs (typically $100K-$500K)
  • Respond to vendor questions and maintain accurate AP records
  • Add and track use tax when required; accrue sales tax as needed
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Review employee expense reports through Expense portal.
  • Serve as petty cash custodian
  • Set up wire transfers via the bank portal
  • Collect W-9s, maintain 1099 vendor data, and assist with annual 1099 filings
  • Track and verify vendor liability insurance
  • Assist with monthly closing activities
  • Support filing, document management, and routine data entry

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in an ERP/automated system (client currently uses 4th Shift)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excel- formulas, sorting/filtering, CREATING pivot tables
  • Experience with MROs, POs, and sales-tax accruals
  • Ability to manage a high invoice volume (100-300 per week)
